The dollar weakened against all major currencies after the US legislative elections ended in a decisive Democratic victory.
The greenback fell 0.3% against the euro, which traded at 1.1229 dollars, and also lost 0.3% against the yen, reaching 158.1 yen per dollar.
The result could weigh on US growth if the so-called “Blue Wave” leads to restrictions on investment in data centers and artificial intelligence.
