Natural gas prices on Amsterdam’s TTF exchange fell below €100 per megawatt-hour for the first time since October 30, following Iran’s stated willingness to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within two days.
December futures declined 4.88% to €98.88 per megawatt-hour. The statement was attributed to Iran’s foreign minister, Esmail Baghaei, who said that mediators were currently exchanging messages.
The move below the €100 threshold came after the announcement concerning the possible reopening of the strategic waterway.
