Dietary supplements have become a regular part of many French consumers’ routines, with products including vitamin D, probiotics, creatine and melatonin used for a range of concerns, from immune support and digestion to exercise performance and sleep.
In 2025, 61% of people in France said they had taken a dietary supplement at least once in the previous 24 months, while 78% of that group said they used them regularly. The figures come from a survey conducted by Toluna for Synadiet, France’s national dietary supplements trade association, and published in February.
The market has expanded sharply over the past 15 years. Sales of products containing plants, nutrients such as vitamins and minerals, and other substances tripled in value from 2010 to 2025, exceeding €3 billion in annual revenue in France.
Synadiet president Nicolas Cappelaere said the market could grow faster, pointing to sales in North America and Asia, where he said growth is twice as rapid. The figures and comments are reported in an article published by Le Monde on November 4, 2026.
