Antonio Gozzi said no decision has yet been made about the consortium of companies that expressed interest in acquiring Ex Ilva in Taranto. “When a decision is made, we will communicate it,” said the Federacciai president and Confindustria vice-president at the “Da Filiera a Sistema” event, referring to reports published in several newspapers.
The deadline for submitting binding offers is November 8. Press reports have said the Italian industrial consortium led by Federacciai had decided against bidding for Ex Ilva’s cold-rolling operations. The matter was reportedly discussed with industrialists at a meeting at Palazzo Chigi the previous day.
