The first €500 payments from Italy’s “Dedicata a Te” card are being made available from November 4 to 1,177,597 eligible households, Agriculture Minister Francesco Lollobrigida announced on social media.

The measure is intended to help families with food shopping while also supporting Italian agricultural and food-production supply chains. Lollobrigida said it is being confirmed for a fourth consecutive year.

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said the new budget law provided additional funding, doubling the budget available to eligible recipients and expanding the number of beneficiary families to around 1.2 million. She also said the scheme aims to support Italian farmers and promote the country’s food products.
