Microsoft has officially rejected a proposed multibillion-dollar artificial intelligence deal with the United Kingdom's Nscale. The decision represents a fresh blow for the startup as it prepares to launch its initial public offering.
The tech giant turned down an option that would have more than doubled the scope of its current data centre contract located in Texas. This rejection comes at a critical juncture for Nscale, which was counting on the expanded agreement to bolster its market position before going public.
