The November 5 interprofessional strike is expected to cause noticeable disruption on regional rail networks, Île-de-France trains and Intercités services. TGV services and most public transport in Paris are expected to run close to normal, according to the information available ahead of the action.

In Île-de-France, the RATP forecasts normal service on the metro, trams, RER A and the bus routes it operates. On the RER B, two trains out of three are expected to run on the southern section operated by the RATP, while the SNCF-operated northern section is forecast to run one train in two.

Some bus routes may be diverted, and police orders may also lead to metro station closures. During the October 31 demonstration, more than 40 stations were closed.

At SNCF, the four representative unions called for a strike from Wednesday evening until Friday morning, citing issues including pay. Force Ouvrière, which won the October 23 employee elections, did not explicitly call for a work stoppage but urged staff to take part in the day of interprofessional action.
