Q8 Italy will reduce the pre-VAT price of diesel and petrol by 20% for customers in the agriculture and fishing sectors. The company said the measure will apply to its direct customers through December 31, 2026, in response to the current national emergency and requests from the Italian government.
Q8 said the move is intended to ease energy costs for two sectors that form part of the food supply chain. The company added that the reduction comes alongside a price cap on petrol and diesel for motorists, which it said is confirmed through the end of the year.
The company has not yet set out how the new measure will be implemented. It said the arrangements will take account of market developments and supply conditions.
