Ecomondo 2026 will open tomorrow morning at the Rimini Exhibition Centre, bringing together more than 1,800 exhibiting brands for the international circular economy expo organized by Italian Exhibition Group. The event will run through Friday, November 6, and will be inaugurated at 10:30 by Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Italy’s minister for the environment and energy security.

International participation has increased by 19% compared with 2025. More than 1,000 hosted buyers from Europe, the Middle East, India, Pakistan, China, Southeast Asia, North Africa, sub-Saharan Africa, North America and Latin America are expected to attend, in cooperation with Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Trade Agency.

The event will also welcome more than 60 representatives of international associations and associated members from countries including Egypt, Morocco, Greece, Serbia, Hungary, Spain and South Africa. Fourteen foreign group stands will bring more than 100 companies from Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, Germany, Norway, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland.

Mexico will participate for the first time as a guest country. African associations will also have a dedicated space for business and networking through the Africa Investment Hub.

Alongside the exhibition area, Ecomondo will host more than 70 conferences and forums curated by its international Technical-Scientific Committee, chaired by Professor Fabio Fava. The program will examine ways to reduce environmental pressures, preserve and restore ecosystems, and apply circular economy principles across industrial supply chains.

Other topics include the European regulatory framework, finance, and international cooperation in the Mediterranean and Africa. The first two days will open with the 15th edition of the States General of the Green Economy, organized through November 4 by the Foundation for Sustainable Development led by Edo Ronchi.
