Ryanair’s net profit for the first half of the year fell 15% to €2.15 billion. The airline said the result was affected by the war in the Middle East.
Passenger traffic increased 6% to 125.8 million, but average fares declined 4% to €55.5. Operating costs rose 10% to €7.69 billion, while the price of kerosene doubled.
Revenue nevertheless grew 3% to €10.08 billion. Ryanair said 80% of its fuel requirements for the whole of 2027 are covered at $67 per barrel, while 25% of its needs for 2028 are covered at $95 per barrel.
